On Monday, me and some members of our team will be up at Muskoka Bible Conference leading worship for the week. 2 Worship services a day for a whole week. Sweet. I'll try and post while up there. the positives and the negatives are that my wife can't come with me so I will miss her a LOT. But on the flip side I get to spend some time with members of my team and the campers of MBC.
Pray for me, for our team, for the songs sung and the hearts changed for Jesus!

Happy Birthday Erin!
She turns 26. Yippie~
We waited up last night until midnight so I could sing to her happy birthday.
Erin is one of the kindest, most loving people I know (literally--the more I think about it the more amazing it hits me) and the chance to do life with her is absolutely amazing everyday. To have scored a smart, gorgeous, Christian girl is a true blessing from God!
We are going out for dinner and movie (and presents) to celebrate tonight. Nothing say "Happy Birthday" like the new Batman movie and steak!

Frail Design
After a long conversation, a few brainstorming sessions, and a bunch of notes written down on paper, my wife and I have decided to finally put a plan in action to start a small on-the-side business called "Frail Design". Not because we don't have anything to do already, but just because we feel this could be a great resource for our friends, family and people like you. We've purchased the web site, and are in the design process now (See picture above). As the word spreads, we are praying that God would use this small business for great things. If you or someone you know needs anything that is listed above, please let us know. I'll let you know when www.fraildesign.com goes LIVE.
For now, email joshua@fraildesign.com

the "unspoken"
Remember when you'd sit in a circle, or with a group, and each of you would share a prayer request that the person to the right or left, or someone would volunteer to pray for? There was always the all describing "unspoken" leaving the sinful mind to conger up some horrific sin that that person was trapped in.
Who invented the "unspoken" prayer request?
If you did, come forward- I want to ask you some questions.

Poison
C.C. DeVille (their lead guitarist from the band Poison) recently accepted Christ and here is a sneak peak video of his new life. I found this video of a pastor who was asked to come down to the concert and then meet with C.C. after the show to pray and answer any questions he had about his new found faith.I post this because at least 3 of my worship guitar players are obsessed with 80's rock n roll and will love this. Enjoy boys!

Made in the image of God?
What does that mean? --Made in the image of God. (Gen. 1:26)While reading today I came across this great quote that I think, helps shed some light on this question.
"created and finite representations (images of God) of God's own nature, that in relationship with Him and each other, they might be His representatives (imaging God) in carrying out the responsibilities He has given to them. In this sense, we are images of God in order to image God and His purpose in the ordering of our lives and carrying out of our God-given responsibilities" -D.J.A. ClinesThis speaks volumes to how we are then to relate to one another and how important it is, in ministry or in general to consist of such a humble, loving approach to all relationships. The Trinity masters the ability to acknowledge the roles of all three and then submit or bring attention to each. How much more God honoring and glorifying would our ministries be if we sought to do the same.
We should not only look to the character of God, and to the commands of God, but also to the Triune roles and relationships mound the Triune Persons of god to see what it means to live our lives as his images.

Happy Birthday Adam
It's my good friend Adam's b-day today! Adam plays drums every weekend with me at Harvest. If you know him, make sure you tell him how cool he is.
I can read
Whenever the summer comes I try to get a bunch of books out of the way that are on my list of reads. Recently I've finished, and added some titles to the list. Here they are some of those:
"Be Last": by Jeremy Kingsley
"Lost Boy": by Greg Laurie
"Tunesmith": by Jimmy Webb
"The Craft of Lyric Writing": by Shelia Davis

By His stripes we are healed
Isaiah 53 (the message)
2-6The servant grew up before God—a scrawny seedling,
a scrubby plant in a parched field.
There was nothing attractive about him,
nothing to cause us to take a second look.
He was looked down on and passed over,
a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand.
One look at him and people turned away.
We looked down on him, thought he was scum.
But the fact is, it was our pains he carried—
our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.
We thought he brought it on himself,
that God was punishing him for his own failures.
But it was our sins that did that to him,
that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins!
He took the punishment, and that made us whole.
Through his bruises we get healed.
We're all like sheep who've wandered off and gotten lost.
We've all done our own thing, gone our own way.
And God has piled all our sins, everything we've done wrong,
on him, on him.
7-9He was beaten, he was tortured,
but he didn't say a word.
Like a lamb taken to be slaughtered
and like a sheep being sheared,
he took it all in silence.
Justice miscarried, and he was led off—
and did anyone really know what was happening?
He died without a thought for his own welfare,
beaten bloody for the sins of my people.
They buried him with the wicked,
threw him in a grave with a rich man,
Even though he'd never hurt a soul
or said one word that wasn't true.
to crush him with pain.
By His stripes we are healed!
